Older versions of the software when installed on newer versions of windows that they were not designed for may have had a glitch where the AzureBay registration pop-up reminder would appear every time Windows starts. This problem has been corrected in later versions of the software. To correct the problem, there are a few different solutions…

• Update the Software to the latest version
• Edit the Windows StartUp

To Edit the Windows StartUp, click on Start-Programs-StartUp. RIGHT click on the Register link and choose Delete.
OR – Click on Start-Run. Type in “MSCONFIG” and click OK. Click on the StartUp tab and remove the checkmark from the Register box. Click apply.
OR – Click on Start-Search. Search for the word “Register”. The correct file should be found in the Start Menu folder and should have an AzureBay icon. Clicking on it should bring up the Pop-Up Reminder.

For Windows 95 - Windows 2000
Open Display Properties. One way to open Display Properties is to RIGHT click on the Desktop/Wallpaper/Background image and choose Properties.

In Display Properties, under the Web tab it is important that the Active Desktop box is not checked in order for the AzureBay wallpaper program to function properly. This is the #1 reason why the wallpaper calendar might be off or the wallpaper image doesn't change daily. Once the setting has been changed, click apply and restart the computer. If this doesn't solve the problem please skip the windows XP paragraph and continue reading.

For Windows XP a Web tab in Display Properties does not exist. To solve the problem RIGHT click on your desktop or background image. A box will appear. Point to Arrange Icons By... and remove the check-mark from "Lock Web Items on Desktop". This will allow the program to change the image as well as keep the calendar current with the correct date. Also ensure that your icons on your desktop are not hidden. If this doesn't solve the problem you'll probably need to download the latest update located a few paragraphs below.

Check windows date and time It's important that the computer date and time be correct. The AzureBay program reads the calendar date and changes the wallpaper according to your computer clock. To check your windows date/time settings, double click the clock in the very bottom right corner of your screen found in the task bar or access your date/time settings from the control panel.

Check StartUp items In order for the wallpaper and wallpaper calendar to function properly it is also important that a link be in your startup items. This allows the wallpaper program to run when windows starts up. To check your startup list, click on Start, Programs, StartUp. Ensure that there is a link there called WPChanger or Wallpaper Changer.

Installing the latest AzureBay update will ensure that you have the latest wallpaper and calendar updates. The latest AzureBay update available at this time is http://www.azurebay.com/ftp/pub/installer.zip or http://www.azurebay.com/ftp/pub/bonus.exe

To temporarily stop the problem, hit the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete keys all at the same time on your keyboard. A window will appear. Using the Task Manager, End Task or Close the WPChanger program. This will stop the program loop and temporarily solve the problem until the user is logged in again.

This problem is most commonly caused caused by international/military computer date/time settings.

To permanently solve the problem, install the below update.

There are many ways in which a user can remove the AzureBay wallpaper image. The most common way is to Click on Start, Programs, AzureBay. Open the Configuration and then go to the wallpaper tab. Turn the wallpaper off and click apply.

If you receive the message, "Are you sure you want to remove the wallpaper?" each time that the computer starts, there are a few ways to stop the message from appearing.

A) The easiest way to solve the problem is to click on Start, Programs, Startup, RIGHT click on the WPChanger / Wallpaper Changer link and choose Delete. Click here for an image example.

AzureBay links allow the program to automatically start running when windows starts. Links to the AzureBay Register.exe and WPChanger.exe files are found in the Windows StartUp. More information on how to access/delete these links is found in the Removing the Registration Pop-Up Reminder FAQ.

The program uses windows registry keys to link the program information together. The windows registry editor can be opened by clicking on Start-Run and typing in “Regedit”
AzureBay information essential to running the program is found in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/AzureBay
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/AzureBay
The path contained in Program Path folder must match the actual folder that the program was installed to.
The Register folder is essential in preventing the Register Pop-Up Reminder from appearing when Windows loads. This folder is created when a user clicks OK to register or when they decline to register.
